This is the last will and testament of me ANN JOHNSON of the Hamlet of Oldland in the parish of Bitton in the county of Gloucester widow made this fifth day of october in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve as follows, that is to say , as touching and concerning all my estate right title and interest of in and to a cottage or tenement late in the occupation of my son in law EDWARD HENDY deceased and by him some years since errected and built on part of my leasehold estate situate in the hamlet of Oldland aforesaid I give and bequeath (1 House and 1 Field written in margin PMT) unto all and every the children of the said EDWARD HENDY (by my late desceased daughter HANNAH HENDY) which may be living at the time of my decease (2 written by the sentence PMT) their executors administrators and asigns for all my estate terms and interest wherin then to come in equal share (if more than one) as tenants in common all the rest residue rmainder of my leasehold mesuages lands tenements and heritaments whatsoever and whensoever I bequeath in manner following as touching four sixth parts or shares these of the whole to be considered as if divided into six equal parts or shares to the only proper use of my sons THOMAS JOHNSON and ISAAC JOHNSON and my daughter HESTER wife of THOMAS GARLAND and my granddaughter SARAH JOHNSON daughter to my late son WILLIAM JOHNSON deceased their executors administrators and asigns for all my estate term and interest therin to come in equal share as tenants in common and as touching one other sixth part there of to the only proper use and behoof of all and every (4 written by the sentence PMT) the children of my late deceased son in law EDWARD HENDY by my said daughter HANNAH HENDY deceased which may be living at the time of my decease their executors administrators and assigns for all my estate terms and interest therein to come in equal shares (if more than one) as tenants in?common and as touching the remaining sixth part thereof to the only proper use and behoof of all and every the children of my late deceased daughter ANN COWLES (5 written by sentence PMT) which may be living at the time of my decease their executors administrators and assigns for all my estate terms and interest therein to come in equal shares (if more than one) as tenants in common subject nethertheless and I do herby charge of my said leasehold estate with the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expences also I give and bequeath unto my grandson SAMUEL JOHNSON son of my said son ISAAC JOHNSON one part (the page is creased at this point) HESTER GARLAND my wearing apparel and all the residue of my personal estate and effects whatsoever and whensoever of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath as to four sixth parts there of (7 next to the sentence PMTF) to my two sons THOMAS JOHNSON and ISAAC JOHNSON and my daughter HESTER GARLAND and my granddaughter SARAH JOHNSON daughter of my late son WILLIAM JOHNSON deceased in equal shares and remaining two sixth parts thereof to the children of my deceased daughters HANNAH HENDY and ANN COWLES in equal sharesand I hereby appoint my said son ISAAC JOHNSON and HENRY HILL BUDGETT of the parish of Bitton Linen Draper joint executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof Ihave hereto set my hand and seal the day and year above writtenx the mark of Ann Johnson signed sealed and published and declared by the said testatrix AnnJohnson as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who in her presence and in present commit our powers and authority to you jointly and severally (inwhose fidelity we fully confide) to receive the corporal oaths of Isaac Johnson and Henry Hill Budgett the executors named of and in the last Will and Testament of Ann Johnson late of the parish of Bitton in the county of Gloucester Widow deceased well and faithfully to perform the said will and also to exhibit and?inventory and render in account according to the temor of the underwritten oath and what shall be done in the premises by virtue of these present, ye shall duly cetify the same to us our surrogate or some other competent judge in this behalf together with these present and the said will herunto ammased on or before the twelth day of October next otherwise this commmision to be void and of none effect given you believe the paper writing hereunto amassed containing the original last will and testament of ANN JOHNSON late of the hamlet of Oldland in the parish of Bitton in the county and diocese of Gloucester Widow decd that you are the joint executors therein named that you will well and faithfully perform the said will by first paying the?debts of the said deceased and then the legacies in the said will mentioned so far as the goods , chattels rights and credits of the sid deceased will there to and the law charge you that you will exhibit unto the registry of the Lord Bishop of Gloucester and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased and render a just and?true account of your administration thereof when lawfully required so to do. you do
