His
father Joseph Taylor (a carpenter) had moved to Bristol via
Weston, Somerset from Sidmouth, Devon. Joseph's early childhood had
been spent at Harcombe, near Sidbury. His mother's family the Farrants
had originated from Colaton Raleigh, Devon. The Farrants had for a few
generations lived at Roebuck Farm, Honiton, Devon. Robert's grandmother
Lydia
Farrant (nee Reed) born 1801 at Upottery, Devon lived
at Bellvue Cottages and later Bellvue Crescent, Clifton Wood, Bristol.
She died in Clifton Wood in 1888.

The

had been done by Winnie in Hong Kong.

No idea who the Taylor
family are with here. They are with them in many pictures. It could
be the Gibbs family or the family which owned
the Donkeys at Weston, or perhaps a relation of Matilda's
