JOAN MARGARET CREESE, born January 18th 1931 at 9 Elberton Road, Sea Mills, Bristol; died
.September 9th 1974 Cosham, Bristol aged 43. She was the daughter of EDWIN CREESE (1896 - 1948)
and BLANCHE ELIZABETH CREESE (nee BRAIN) (1899 - 1961) of Elberton Road, Sea Mills, Bristol.
Joan was granddaughter of ALBERT CREESE and SARAH JANE CREESE (nee HOUGHTON) of Easton, Bristol
and WILLIAM BRAIN and ALICE BRAIN (nee BANFIELD) of St George, Bristol. Joan married (as his first wife)
July 10th 1954 at St. Edyth's, Sea Mills NORMAN SIDNEY TAYLOR son of SIDNEY GEORGE TAYLOR (1895 - 1963) and
LILIAN TAYLOR .(nee GIBBONS) (1897 - 1960) of St. Werburghs, Bristol. Joan and Norman were parents of amongst
others PAUL TAYLOR

My mother's cousin Lilian Irene Creese the actress Rene Ray

Joan Creese 3rd year Form 1 Conduct excellent Punctuality Very Good Diligence Excellent Regularity Very Good. Joan is a steady worker, and a good leader. As head prefect she has done useful work for the school. She has also been a very enthusiastic Captain of her house. I can recommend her. M. J Sherwell. Head Mistress

My mother was evacuated during the war to Rockwell Green, nr Wellington, Somerset to a Mr and Mrs Twose circa 1942.

I have the feeling that it was not a happy time for her.
