Why are gt, gt grandfather Frederic and his brothers being refered to by their mother's maiden name of Hill? This may be because it is likely that their parents were't actually married as their mother uses her maiden name for her second marriage to James Cox Dilling in 1844? and dies giving birth to their half brother James Cox Dilling who was born in 1846 and died possibly in 1850 in Exeter, Devon.
