Ann
was a widow when she married Mary ann's father.
Mary ann's mother was buried 20th June 1828 at Rackenford, Devon when Mary
ann was two or three years old. Her father re-married in 1833 to Elizabeth
Gunn 23rd October 1833 at Rackenford, Devon and they were parents of Mary
ann's half brothers and sisters.

TIMES & MIRROR Friday May 6 1881 Yesterday morning a sad accident, which has since proved fatal happened to a man named Robert Gibbons 35 years of age who, resided at Fraser Street Windmill Hill Bedminster . It appeared that Deceased who was in the employ of the Bristol Tramways Co as a Chaff Cutter while engaged in oiling one of the machines accidentally got entangled in the machinery. He was at once conveyed from Colston Street where the accident occurred, to the infirmary and it was there found that one of his legs and his thigh were bricken and his head severely injured . He was admitted about 12 in the morning and died at 5.30 PM .The same evening. Deceased leaves a wife and 5 children totally unprovided for. An inquest will probably heard today. |
