LILIAN GIBBONS
, my paternal grandmother born March 7th 1897 at 15 Waterloo Terrace, Old Market,
Bristol. In 1901 she was living at 3 Redcliff Square, Redcliff, Bristol;..died 1960 in St Werburghs, Bristol.
She was the daughter of GEORGE LLOYD GIBBONS .and HARRIETT GIBBONS (nee HALLS) of
2 Kenilworth Place, Newtown, Bristol. Lilian's grandparents were ROBERT GIBBONS and MARGARET ANN GIBBONS
(nee LLOYD) and FREDERIC HALLS and HARRIETT HALLS (nee SHERGOLD). Lilian was .married on 27th October
1923 at St Stephen's by Saltash,Cornwall to SIDNEY GEORGE TAYLOR .(1895-1963) son of ROBERT GEORGE TAYLOR
and MATILDA TAYLOR (nee LUKE) of 34 Gatton Road, St Werburghs, Bristol.
Parents of NORMAN SIDNEY TAYLOR
who was my father.

Lilian's aunt Margaret Fox (nee Gibbons) and uncle Alfred Fox
they lived in Broadmead, Bristol. They were parents of Ernest Fox
who was killed at the battle of Cambrai in December 1917 aged about 20

It seems that Lilian's great grandfather John Gibbons is still living in 1901 at Poughhill, Devon
Her maternal grandfather Frederic Halls (born 1840) died just before Lilian married Sidney Taylor in 1923.

In 1901 Lilian's father George lloyd Gibbons must be at sea. He was a ships engineer. Her paternal grandmother Margaret Ann Yeats (nee lloyd) is living in Cardiff Bay, Wales. Her maternal grandfather Frederic Halls and step-grandmother Sarah Halls are living in Brixton Road, Easton with their young family.

Miss L Gibbons has been working for me for the past four years as a Coat Machinest, during that time I found her always a good worker willing,
punctual and reliable . Her reason for leaving was to be married. Whilst wishing her every success, I must admit I'm sorry to be losing her.

Sidney and Lilian were married by the Rev. Charles Courthorpe Bosanquet, at St Stephen's by Saltash, Cornwall. Sidney was aged 28, a Clerk, and a bachelor of 16 Russell Terrace, St Stephens by Saltash, Cornwall.Sidney's father Robert George Taylor's occupation was given as a (Printing) Compositor. Lilian was aged 26 a Tailoress of 2 Kenilworth Place, Newtown, Bristol. Her father (George lloyd Gibbons) who had died after a shipping disaster in the Bristol Channel the same year was a Third Engineer, Mercantile Marines (deceased) The wedding was witnessed by Matilda Taylor (Sidney's mother) and A R R Symons.
No idea who A R.R.Symons was!
